These materials reference my autobiographical, site specific history. It is a juxtaposition of two sites . The birth site was one of growing up next to the Colac Dairy Company butter factory whilst the teenage years saw me sleeping above the public bar of a Port Melbourne pub. Colac has provided me with an indelible memory of a stultifying olfactory stench and fascination with rural production materials. The pub environment disrupted my nightly repast with a soundtrack of inebriated human chat and a pervasive vapour of hops, malt, yeast and tobacco smoke.
